The choice of palettes that is presented today is very wide. There are some classic artistic palettes and modern ergonomic ones. Each artist chooses the one that fits his or her needs and gives a possibility to concentrate on the painting process.
For me palette is an important tool not only for preparing my paints but also for arranging them in a way that allows me to mix colors easily and understand the mixtures.
For my studio painting I prefer to use white porcelain plates of different sizes.
I also like the folding enameled tin palette offered by H. K. Holbein. This metal palette is durable and long lasting and very useful for plein air painting.
